The iCafe Team now meets weekly in the Women & Gender Studies Center located inside the Johnson Center, room 240K. We meet weekly on Wednesdays at 3 pm. Join us! Everyone is invited.

Recently a couple of people asked us “who is the iCafe Team”? Good question. The event is a collaboration between the ODIME, OIPS and PEP. Recently the Office of Women & Gender Studies joined our team. The iCafe Team meets weekly on Wednesdays and students from diverse backgrounds participate. Everyone is invited!

The OIPS programming team is proud to introduce our new iCafe calligrapher. Amol Mhatre, a first year MS in Computer Science student from India, will design the International Café menu blackboard.
Amol has worked with the world renowned calligrapher Achyut Palav on various graphic designing projects including movie titles and corporate identities. Amol’s uncle, who is an artist, taught him the basic knowledge of drawing, typography, and sketching.
“Calligraphy keeps me alive,” Amol says. If you are curious to see Amol’s work, come out to International Café on Wednesday, October 3, from noon to 2pm at Patriot Lounge, SUB I on Fairfax campus.
